Who am I
I’m Arlène Pouw, a certified Medical Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Lifestyle Coach based in The Hague, close to the beach and dunes of Scheveningen. I help people become stronger, healthier, and more energised—both physically and mentally.
Before starting my own coaching business, I spent many years building an international career in strategic marketing. Throughout that journey, health, movement, and wellbeing remained a constant passion. Combining that passion with coaching people felt like a natural next step.
Having lived and worked in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Malaysia, the United States, and Qatar, I have experienced a wide range of cultures and lifestyles. These experiences have shaped my personal approach and taught me that there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to health and wellbeing.
My goal is simple: to help you discover what works for you and create healthy habits that fit your life.

My Story
Health and sports have always played an important role in my life. Growing up in Rotterdam, I competed in swimming at a National level and spent more than 18 years practising dance and ballet. Later, I studied Pharmaceutical Sciences in Groningen, where my interest in health, the human body, and analytical thinking continued to grow.
Like many of my clients, I have experienced how challenging it can be to stay fit and healthy while balancing the demands of everyday life. Work, relationships, children, moving home, injuries, and other life events can easily push self-care into the background. That's why I believe a healthy lifestyle is not about perfection, but about finding an approach that works for you and your life.
During a sabbatical in Qatar in 2020, I decided to follow my passion for health and movement. I earned my qualifications as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach through the International Fitness Alliance (IFA) and began coaching clients. The energy and fulfilment I gained from helping others was so rewarding that, in 2021, after fifteen years in international business, I chose to follow a new path as a personal trainer and coach in the Netherlands.
Building on my background in pharmaceutical sciences and my fascination with the human body, I later specialised as a Medical Personal Trainer through Start to Move. This allows me to support people dealing with injuries, physical limitations, or other health challenges through a safe, personalised, and sustainable approach.
Today, I combine my knowledge of training, nutrition, lifestyle, and wellbeing with personal attention and genuine commitment. My goal is not only to help people become stronger and fitter, but to create healthy habits and routines that support lasting health, energy, and balance.
